As this is literally part of my job, I have some reasonable take on this.

Functional imaging in Humans is extremely important, we use PET imaging and other nuclear based diagnostic imaging to stage, monitor and treat cancer, inflammatory disorders etc.

The radionuclide used needs to decay in the injected host in order for our imaging devices to register the emitted radiation.

I have to do my research into the company...but...my concern is the technical feasibility and market exposure to such imaging and treatment. We often have our patients lying flat for long periods of time in order to facilitate adequate detector exposure and image quality. My concern lies in the length of time required to achieve diagnostic accuracy in animals. To paraphrase "imaging without anaesthesia" worries me as I doubt a horse will stay still for an extended period of time. Further as mentioned, the market for such diagnostic imaging...is it there for animals at the moment....would people be willing to pay 400AUD for a PET study of a leg for instance....
