Yes I agree, my sister spent $8,000 plus on her little dog after cancer diagnosis, just to keep her alive an extra 3 months but of course was hoping it would sustain her longer than that but not so.
When my cat January was diagnosed with advanced terminal cancer in March 2019, I didn't hesitate to spend $$ on a scan / xray or whatever it was to confirm the diagnosis was correct and to keep her comfortable for her last 24 hours of life but I didn't proceed with treatment to prolong her life and suffering a bit more, some people do ... .....she was 14
