In the third last paragraph of the Truganina visit yesterday, I suggested the person was a 'clinet'. He was actually a supplier who like many works for a company that imports items for trucks that are manufactured overseas but which must be finessed in Australia.
Apparently our trucking fleet is on average older than in the USA and even Europe, but just as importantly, our (larger?) trucks need special modifications in some areas. Don't ask my which ones, as my knowledge is smaller than a pinhead.
I was surprised re the relative ages as I'd have thought with our sometimes challenging long distance roads that older trucks would be life expired with a decade or at most 15 years. Apparently not so.
The latter helps SNL because of its insistence carrying stock that owners of ageing vehicles require.
