Our only hope lies with ACCC. FIRB is next to useless as they have proven multiple times (i was also a holder of Ausnet which was given the white flag with ease).
Australia have very short term thinking and can be very easily enticed with dollars up front without thinking of the longer term consequences of this decision.
As a shareholder and as an Australian - letting this deal through will be detrimental to the economy.
If this deal is rejected, the board should also fall on their sword - they have no right to continue to act in the interests of shareholder who they have let down badly.
