I am in the same boat, although I have started buying now. I think there’s a lot of negativity already baked in, and am banking on Mr Market being forward-looking on both the hedgebook and McPhillys providing them a growth pathway to become a multi-state miner. I believe Tropicana was expensive but ultimately will do them very well, especially if they’re correct about moving out of the heavier capex spend phase.
In my view market won’t wait for hedgebook to completely roll off, it’ll project ahead. Getting both debt maturity dates extended and NSW Section 10 resolved are near term catalysts. Missing one or both are the near term risks.
I like it from here but will need to be patient and be prepared that this may not be the bottom.
