Another vintage Alf presentation! Highlights were:
a) he got through without swearing (nearly dropped the “f” word once, but caught himself just in time!)
b) “Regis has better PR than we do. But that’s because I write ours”
c) “The board wrote that. I’m more optimistic than they are”
d) general bagging of state governments …and this time the police!
Sounded positive, almost bullish about the future. Some scope for a return to partially franked dividends if AUS picks up. Spoke of “business was coming back fast before the recent AUS lockdowns”, which suggests that will happen again once Covid subsides. Highlighted (quite justifiably) how well we are doing relative to others. Believes “this is a great business to be in just now’ foreseeing that this industry will be a positive place to be going forward (the word “boom” was dropped).
I feel confident. And he was as entertaining as ever!
