Its not an if but a when...majour bankers in the US now have machines on a buy mode for any substantial fall which to me indicates they are looking at a filtering of hikes will do thier job. Comments like last night from JP, Chase and so forth are indicative of that. The more banter of a US recession the better it gets for GMG as they are completely insulated. When you look back through history it is usually an 8 month to 13 month offset from the beginning of normalising. Also a bear market at a mid point in which historically we are now, money will move from sidelines to recession proof & currency proofing growth orientated stocks. I believe GMG is one of those stocks more so than CSL on price metrics. Increase the yield and you have an incremental slo buying mechanism in place for a SP.
