I never did get in contact with bisalloy regarding their issues of the high cost of using east to west coastal shipping .To be fair i did not push the contact because its not really a question ask the cfo to take time to answer plus tender questions.
Interesting in their recent FY23 report they are still complaing about the high cost of shipping .eg probably cheafor SSAB their competition to ship containers from US direct to WA..
Having said that they included the following they r currently looking at 'cost effective forms of transport to improve the situation in the next 6 months'.
Well i doubt it has to do with the sea,air or trucks.hmm now that AZJ has a rail network from Woolongong to WA my 'guess' is they are negotiating the viability of rail freight.As posted bisalloy sits on the woolongong port and the woolongong rail..
hmm next to bsl ?how does bsl distribute their steel to WA.?
Anyway just thought i would post above will be interesting the result at least for me..
