New technology has taken AMI's Gravity/Leach plant to the top of the tree in gold/lead/ZN extraction.
The key is the fine tuning of the crushing/milling/screening process so that the right granular mix
is achieved for optimum results. IMO, AMI should have the system tweaked for optimum results
by now which will be reflected in improved recovery rates.

Choke feeding the primary crusher or the cone crusher(as a poster has suggested above) is not the answer because this causes higher wear/lower service life and uses more energy that the proper jaw setting of both primary & cone crusher in the first instance and the optimum throughput of the ball mills.
Perhaps at a later date when we are all cashed-up, a SAG mill could replace the ball mills in the circuit
leaving the ball mills to perform an auxiliary role.

In summary, AMI has made a good choice of plant with respect to capital costs, energy, recovery rates, and
environmental considerations and, IMO, we should see the fruits of these choices progressively realised.

That said, IMO the company should issue more ongoing investors' information rather than the terse /defensive statements contained in the mandatory quarterlies.
