Spruik..a consolidation would change everything in terms of any potential
buyout.Assuming current management fails to announce anything worthy
of investor interest over next 12 mths..that has any impact on s/p..
then...the numbers become particularily favourable to a cashed up suitor
like Surplus King.Instead of being locked in to having to pay say....
$6mill..for balance of 80% of stock.[at 0.001c]..under consolidation there
would be no real "floor" to starting point of any prospective offer....
Say, post consolidation.SK could start at maybe 20c/share for balance
which would equate to around $3,000,000...big difference....which could
be attractive to some shareholders who have really had enough...
I think what management is really saying here, in the absence of any other
detailed reasoning, is that if you vote for consolidation at least you maybe able to at least SELL shares despite at a loss.
It is really, it seems to me, a recognition of the company failing shareholders at the
ASX..level..over many years..but now providing a possible "out"
Cheers
