I think with Barrick and the Tanz govt reaching an agreement it will help restore some investor confidence in Tanzania. The terms of the settlement are much less punitive than what I, and I think the broader market, expected them to be. Acacia's response to the news of 'settlement terms' being negotiated seemed a little bizarre. I guess we'll get more clarity on this in the coming days/weeks.
The sooner the export ban is lifted the better. This will really send a message that Tanzania 'open for business'.
