Speaking of colouring, I'm leaning towards wearing the rose coloured glasses based on the assumption that if there was going to be a significant delay (>2 weeks, which absolutely wouldn't be considered "timely") for the demos that even by AKP's standards they would've informed the market. But it most certainly wouldn't have killed them to include this info as you point out.
