I suspect our CEO is actually the R&D Manager. Maybe some of that massive salary could go to bolstering the salary of the much needed "marketing strategy and implementation" person?
Having managed a lot of uni start-ups I can assure you this tendency to appoint "pretend" CEOs who are actually really only focussed on the research outcomes, is very familiar, and usually doesn't have a happy commercial ending.
Its time for the rest of the Directors to do their job, and act now, before its too late...all in IMHO.
