KCN did well to get this through the auditors and released on time.
This can be held up for days/weeks in a stalemate between audit and management, as no-one wants their bum hanging out if there is any chance of going broke.
My read is that they are going the cashflow route and don't want to have to repay Zurich with a negotiated settlement. I see a few sweeteners from the government on green initiatives and other incentives to cancel out TAFTA - win and win for KCN and Thailand, but lose for Zurich.
If cashflow doesn't quite get there, I see a placement going directly to NC at a premium - say $1.50 per share.
NE will go, whether it is an outright sale or JV. Similar sales have had a JV component, with royalty coming back and free carried otherwise. I'd be happy with having a small part of a big cashcow, with no downside.
Some sort of announcement on Monday would help fill the news vacuum. A trade halt would be nice (but not because of some low ball offer). Otherwise, we are headed south!
