    "This surcharge was introduced in addition to existing duties. With a baseline tariff of 3.4%, the combined rate for lithium batteries from China reached 48.4% by March 2025. In addition, the U.S. announced plans to apply a 25% tariff on energy storage system batteries by 2026 under Section 301.6 days ago"
