I feel like bill smoothing is really only wanted by those who are on less money, as it helps them budget. That very demographic is probably unlikely to use rentpay because of the extra costs. Most may just like to simply do their own budgeting.
As for the savings on offer, most energy companies offer discounts of 10-20% for simply paying on time, as was the case when i was with Australian Energy. So not sure if these $ savings are exclusive to rentpay.
