It has appointed PWC who is continuing negotiations with interested parties in a very difficult regulatory environment.
They clearly have not found a party to sign off on an acceptable deal and need funds to maintain the approval process.
But this could change overnight and it must if they are to maintain the timeline.
Remember we are talking about over $3 billion of projects.
It has been taken seriously enough for a top 4 group to take success fees without retainers.
They have now been working the file for almost 6 months.By my calculations this is an investment of almost $500,000 in
time and billing on the assumption that there are 3 permanent on the team.
This is dead money unless they achieve success.
The original teaser from PWC estimated the four Alberta projects could be worth $275 million to KDP.
That is about 14 cents a share on the enlarged capital.
From where we are today 4 cents is a ten bagger!
