It takes opposing views for every trade ! GQG is low volume, so hard to play for institutions. At $1.30 believers in GQG will see good value. A seller may be worried about general equities sentiment being difficult environment to raise new flows and deliver equity performance. One of them will be right!
This an interesting trading stock, a business I like for the long term but with significant volatility.
Like @Fatporka I think $1.30 is good value underpinned by a 9% dividend yield and likely closer to the bottom of the trading range.
