Ginger7 u will find that magnetite requires significantly more beneficiation than hematite and hence requires the IO price to be much higher for it to be commercial as the additional beneficiation comes with increased costs and makes it a more expensive proposition...SDL is not a magnetite resource...
The quality of SDL resource will be higher than most Pilbara projects. Particularly if they decide to commence blending the itabirite early and produce high grade pellets which attract the higher IO price.
What do you mean when you talk about being more efficient that Pilbara or Brazil projects ? Are you are talking the financials...SDL should still be one of the lowest cost producers in the world……there is heaps of information on the website about this...
The biggest and single most important issue holding back the project is funding…quality project without funding is a stranded project..With both governments committed it looks like this project is not going to lie down in a hurry...the value has certainly been comprised over the years...
