In some of the maps from previous announcements there has been an area designated for possible underground mining. It would simply come down to when the economics of moving overburden exceed the cost of going underground. Going underground would have an interesting effect on overall 'strip ratios' me thinks, but it will all come down to economics as TAW/AMAL produce the high spec spod concentrate.
