Disagree that we will head to 2.50. If I had cash on hand I would buy - may just do so on pay day if it is still at this level.
The plan was to sell the rights to our technology from a position of weakness. This deal allows us to hold onto our IP until it is closer to commercialisation (i.e. more valuable).
Before this, we were going to go broke or have a fire sale. We now have a significant investor that is willing to kick in up to $20M. Yes the deal is favourable to them and will significantly dilute share holders (12-19%), but by all rights they should have taken us to the cleaners.
I definitely would not have kicked in more money if they did a rights issue and given the SIO issue flopped I imagine many others wouldn't have either.
We got a really good outcome given the options available to us. It definitely exceeds what I thought we would get.
