Well, a tried and true method of gaining control / ownership of a potentially good mining operation is to first drive it into the ground and then pick it up for next to nothing. Works especially well if you're "old school" mining guys that are doing all the mining and mill work. Also works from the Director side of things if there's a fight on the Board. Take your pick, but the thing to determine is whether there really is an economically viable resource here or not.
