Contacted the company regarding the large amount of shares traded last week.

Substantial holding in a company occurs when a purchaser exceeds 5% of the total shares on the companies register. (and vice/versa)

The purchaser/seller is obliged to forward the company an ASIC form :

603 - notice of Initial Substantial Holder, or
604 - Change of Interest Substantial Holder, or
605 - Ceasing to be a Substantial Holder



The onus is on the purchaser/seller to advise the company of the change within 5 days of the transaction.

The company would then make the announcement, given that the parties do as they are supposed to do - i.e. send the required documentation. Beyond the companies control if the parties do not comply to the requirements, which apparently sometimes happens.

So would expect hopefully that announcement would be made soon. (at least a change of interest, though not necessarily so if multiple buyers/sellers involved)
