I heard this morning Director Identification Numbers will come into force from 1st July this year. I wonder how this bunch will take to that. The DIN is with you for life and is managed by the ATO, not just ASIC. When you fail to comply with the corps act and director duties, you are marked for life, and will be penalised and barred from becoming a director again. In other words, running companies into the ground will now be visible against you DIN. Anyone else hear about this?
