Did a post-EOFY sale on my iShares S&P 500 ETF and banked a $70k gain with a 50% CGT discount as I held it for 1 year and 1 day.
Bank balance now $450k (that's outside of $1m sitting in my offset accounts). 3 fully paid off properties valued at $2.8m and 2 more purchased for below appraisal $200k each at 80% LVR with a 5-year fixed with the rates low enough that they're positively geared. Super balance of $300k.
All of that required a fraction of the brain power that the analytical surgeons here deploy on deducing the trajectory of inflows/outflows/FX losses/understanding Magellan's portfolio/cash level and how that MAY translate into stock performance.
Oh and I'm not even 40.
