i do tend to agree, the PE crowd ( Brookfield,KKR etc ) are hoovering up larger dividend paying listed companies quite regularly. This reduces my investible choices. I started a few years ago investing in listed PE funds ( PE1 ) and some that have PE assets within their funds ( PNI,WMA,SOL ) and they have all done well. This was brough on by several of my quality ASX holdings getting bought out by foreign PE firms.
Fortunately i also invested in a few great listed performers like DDR, MIN, WES which may to big to be privatised - maybe !
I do think MFG is heading for being bought out or just left to wither on the vine.
