I am talking about aggressive funds or hedge funds which have a different expectations.
You mentioned that MFG gave away the gains they had in the last 2 years. Last 2 year period was very unusual one in hundred year incident and MFG was even more conservative than any indexes going into cash, as well as not benefiting from trillion $ cash injections.
Under normal economical conditions with very low growth rates of 3%, conservative portfolio with bit of active investing should be able to beat indexes by small % of 3 to 4 % like what MFG did prior to 2019.
