This is an ongoing problem MFG will have for a little while. This announcement is another set of headlines where existing investors get to hear about other investors selling out. The AFR, The Australian, SMH would have been rubbing their hands together for this one.
The only way to right it is by some significant outperformance again. That's how the masses invest, they arrive after outperformance and and leave after underperformance.
