Yeah its underperformed a very strong market. Its still got positive returns on most historical parameters. I think in his last update Hamish mentioned that they are expected to underperform in strong up markets and perform when things go pear shaped. That would make sense with them being massively overweight Microsoft and Oracle among others. I imagine both those stocks would perform reasonably well in a decent sell off.
As to Flows..... mate you have to be joking??? 350million in a month and you are complaining. That's a staggering number for a fund of any size in any country.
AUD dropping 1c since June 30 so the total FUM number is actually $23,750m at this moment in time
An aside note. Very interesting AFR article last weekend (I think lead story - I read on line so not sure) on Australian investors being told by advisers to invest offshore due to size restrictions in the ASX. MFG mentioned
