Hey quick question kimbo.

Do you understand the difference between the exchange (in mfg's case the ASX) and the company itself?

There is a seperation. Or did you not read the "stock market for dummies"chapter on this.

Here's a brief rundown of how it works:
Orders to buy and sell are placed on the exchange and management of MFG run the company. They report twice yearly. The market then decides the price on the fundamentals management have given them.


Management can't manipulate stock prices. If you want evidence Google "Enron" and see where management are now.
