Its also very sad to realise that MFG has still not come clean on dirty deeds related to disclosure of that (from memory) Amber rating downgrade on their massively oversized mandate at St James Place. I still believe there will be significant, maybe $billion-ish, compensation at some stage once the lawyers get a class action happening. They really have nowhere to hide on that IMO. I wouldn't want to work for such an employer.
That was a shocker to allow the big end of town to trade that and keep it a secret from retail. I wasn't caught in that one fortunately, but as a trader I would have liked to have been able to short them on that news myself.
They need to sort that out. Only then can they attract and retain great people and regain some pride IMO.
