Am very used to being on ships as they manoeuvre through troubled waters. Having done it for over 30 years, it is something I regard as my specialty.

Yes have been sunk a couple of times, so this is not advice. On the other hand, one could never get Macquarie at $15, or Lynas at 40c just to name 2 of many (one early in the GFC, the other late GFC), if the skies were blue.

I believe many can tell the difference between troubled corporate conditions times and terminal corporate conditions. Though few such wise heads appear on HC.

I may be under water a long way, but am not troubled at all since this story is less than 1 year in. I choose to invest based on Balance Sheet health, current and forecast industry conditions and management strengths. Mis-pricing of businesses occurs when investors look at only 1 or 2 of these criteria failing to appreciate the value of the remaining piece.

I am humble enough to admit I rarely get the entry into such opportunities perfect. I always buy too soon, under estimating market fear. Nevertheless, for my own portfolio, my own time horizon and my own risk tolerance level, I rarely make a wrong call at this end of the market.

Bring on $10, my heirs will be able to quote some of the foolishness of the posts that precede this one, because I am printing it, to teach those that follow me what contrarian investing is all about. Temporary egg on face is easily wiped away with $100 bills. I live for times like this.

My sentiment has moved to buy with the SP below $13.
