Magellan has actually reinvigorated my love for the property market. Compared to MFG and shares in general, I put so much more money in property and paid so much less attention to my houses and over about 12 years, my family and I have a $3m+ property portfolio with all debt (~$1m purchase price) on track to be eliminated by year-end. Plus the stable, weekly rent is far superior to the fluctuations of share yields.
Shares IMO are just a massive headache - the daily attention they need is more than dating a high school drama queen. Best to just have a bit of S&P 200 + S&P 500 exposure, passive property investments and forget about the rest.
