Index tracking ETFs has been around since 1975, first listed index tracking ETFs 1993 so It been around for a while
through many cycles and crashes so I think it has proven its worth

lately everyone jump on the bandwagon with thematic ETFs and ETFs for all sort of exotic products but if you want to be
worry free, hassle free market return you can not beat a Broad-Based index ETFs, for the US that the S&P 500 index and Australia ASX200 and ASX300 ETFs.

Not everyone will agree and that what makes the market ticks but I go with evidence based data and broad based index ETFs has been proven to be the cheapest and simplest form of investment that will beat majority of active fund managers hand down.

I invest in single stock myself but I throw money into broad based index on a regular basis in the last 10 years every time there is a market wobble and it doing superbly well, it a good way to just keep throwing your excess cash in and get decent dividend year in year out without worry about if some business going bankrupt or get disrupted.
