If PTM was growing profit or at least stable in some shape or form, then being a one trick pony would be ok. However, the failure here is not so much about the value philosophy failing (it has failed for many others), but rather the lack of innovation in terms of exploring other ways to make money. In a similar manner to PCG, PNI or PAC. I know PNI and PAC are different, but therein is the point with a failure to innovate and grow, you shrink like a rotting vine.
You could argue that there time will come, but will they still have a reasonable business when that occurs? For the sake of shareholders I really hope so.
Last point, Kerr's ex-wife seems to have timed the market better than her own husband. How very ironic!
