This will be a long term hold for me. In a market flooded with ETFs, it is getting harder and harder for traditional fund managers to compete in the space and I believe the company's decision to diversify into GYG, Barrenjoey etc will prove to be the right moves in the long run.
On a positive note - one of the Directors just acquired $1mil worth of MFG shares in late November in their SMSF, at close to $35 per share. That shows the board's confidence in the company's future and clearly she believed $34.83 was a good price to enter
