The only response this post deserves is an insult, however lets just say that it doesn't take a crystal ball for a defensively allocated managed fund to invest in Chinese companies.
Hamish couldn't find a few other stocks in the US or Australia? The SINGULAR BEST OPTIONS for (defensive) allocation of capital in a global managed fund for that portion of the portfolio were Chinese companies?
