Every dollar of FUM that leaves MFG will likely lead to more funds exiting - a somewhat virtuous circle.
It's just too hard for other funds to take the risk of staying invested in Magellan - if they stay and prices continue falling then the blowback will be intense and they'll in turn lose FUM. If they leave and MFG goes up, then there'll probably be some consternation but it would be unlikely to also lead to outflows.
