Its initial products, the Flowie and Floodie sensors, measure water use and alert customers to problems such as floods and leaks. Sumpie, a predictive sump pump sensor, is coming to the market this fall.

Coinciding with the acquisition news is the launch of Sentree, a smart sensor for remotely monitoring air conditioning systems that was jointly developed by Alert Labs and Watsco. The sensor can monitor such things as temperature, compressor and refrigerant leaks, and liquid and vapour line blockage, and can help to save time and money by providing specific information about a problem before a technician arrives on-site."
