Malone’s role was to achieve funding for the build and launch of the Pearls. He was unsuccessful. It only makes sense that he resigned.
The next question to ask would be why such a wealthy, successful, well connected and business orientated man could not fulfil the requirements of the role. Is there something wrong with the technology, the business plan or the execution of that business plan? Perhaps so. It seems no worthy investor wants a bar of SAS which is why they’ll be applying for a bank loan.
