I think maybe this is the point of negative comments, as In we all stop and think about the possible risks. Personally I am very curious to see what effect this treatment has on cells other than bad bacteria. We should find that out at phase 1 trial I assume, so hence the interest. They say they have applied the treatment many times by iv in animals with no adverse effects inside normal dosing levels, and when pushing to find toxicity limits they suggest these tox limits appear to be well above therapeutic doses.
That being said we did see "hints" at toxicity effects in a couple of the recent covid animal tests i believe. If i recall a couple of hamsters dropped out at higher doses in earlier update?
latest update mentions "Minimal toxicity was observed at 4,000ppm of R327; there was no cytotoxicity at or below 1,333ppm."
It appears 4,000 was the effective dose, yet this appears to indicate there was some toxicity. In iv trials it was suggested toxicity levels were well above therapeutic levels.
I assume that toxicity in covid trial is a different profile to iv dosing.
The biggest aspect of human trials will be the first time we not only see any effect scientifically but it will be the first time someone can simply tell us how it feels.

I still think they must be confident they are onto something, even if they might be wrong. If they knew there was an issue surely they are heading down a street that will lead to great public humiliation and embarrassment when it can no longer be covered up? If we don't have results in humans by end of fy I think there may well be real issues.
