Yes and no htran. It would be great if we have a clear line of sight on some assets in Singapore or Thailand owned by Somboon. However if (as I suspect) he has hidden his assets well, then the big thing DNA has in its favour is the threat of a bankruptcy order against him. I mean in Thailand as he is a Thai and Cambodian citizen. This would then presumably involve him paying an amount to be negotiated with DNA in order to avoid being declared a bankrupt (which would have extremely negative implications for his ability to do business going forward). In many ways this is probably the most likely course of events. I can’t see DNA losing in Singapore as the judges are likely to be non-bribable and the case of Somboon’s wrongdoing is so obvious. They might not be awarded the full claim sum but half to two thirds would be likely I reckon. Then DNA can’t find any assets to claim, then we play the bankruptcy threat and see how much we can get out of the caant!
