"where the heck does all the script come from". - My perhaps faulty understanding is that one source is shares higher up in the sell queue. Ridiculous answer perhaps, but sell hopefuls shares are borrowed by manipulators from online brokers, and traded as if owned, and then given "back" into the queue when finished with (via a buy at another convenient price). Presume doesnt work so well in high volume situation, but effective on quiet days for spec stocks?. A way that price can be manipulated down after spec interest has waned. Small example of how those that make the rules, - rule the roost. May in some small way be a good thing too, that wild price moves are dampened, (kindly?) limiting damage to the unwary?? Cheers, S...
