More than likely open cut, Greenbushes got down to sea level which is just over 300m so depends on economics, what other veins are encountered on the way to that depth and being Brazil it's a bit cheaper to mine. I can see the lights at night from Greenbushes and the noise echoes through the valley, that place is going hell for leather at the moment. Brand new 132kv transmission line being built right up to the pit cos they are consuming so much power trying to make the most of current prices.
