Anybody who has invested in FLC must increasingly be aware that this is becoming a China play. And it will even be more so post covid19. However, I must warn not all market participants will be happy of FLC’s success especially if they are US centric and protectionistic if the Trumpia ni ns have their way.
As the latest announcement attests, no corner of China, however remote even in Mongolia, will be exempted in the adoption and application of new technology to leap frog the world. In the Chinese mindset, the outbreak of Covid19 was an embarrassment, a representation of “backward” China. This crisis will accelerate the technological mindset for change so that moniker of backward China will be removed forever. Watch their drive for technological improvement in medical and environmental areas.
The US is regressing in this regard as illustrated in the way they are handling this crisis. Just look at how few test kits they had. The more regressive US is, the more envious they will be of China’s success. That is not a good thing because insecure and angry people do more harm than good. We are living in interesting times.
