Google Earth shows the slip as still being there in 2018 so we can assume nothing has been done to clean it up. It was the slip at Tarmoola which was the final straw for SOG. Locals talk about it as the dust cloud was visible in Leonora 30kms away. I went down into the pit in 2011 ish when St Barbara were developing the underground. They were some bloody big rocks. Made the semi I had compressors on look like a little tonka toy.
Stabilising that and then mining will take some inspired engineering.
It is almost unbelievable that St Barbara and Saracen didn't check the core outside the sweet zones. Complacency?
