Comes down to purpose & use Jock.
As MJ says, the base way to think about it (speed) is round trip, but...
If the usage means the processors churn out vastly more data than they ingest then really fast write speed is a dramatic improvement.
Endurance also can be linked to retention.
If stored data needed to be refreshed (read & rewritten) as regularly as DRAM then our endurance would be shite.
As our retention is vastly better than DRAM (we hope/trust/have previously shown) so stored data won't need to be refreshed anywhere near as often & so endurance skyrockets.
Skyrockets to where is the open question.
