Beach, you are making a mistake. Not all natural graphite is equal. The reason natural is cheaper and has less favorable properties is that it comes from a dozen or more different mines in China. They blend it from these mines such that it has some sort of consistency but its still inconsistent relative to synthetic. However, this statement is only true for chinese natural graphite. Talgas natural graphite is totally different. This was said in some conference that I cant seem to find again.

Our resource comes from ancient bacteria that were all the same shape. As a result, the flake size in Talgas resource is very consistent and its properties are totally different to chinese blended natural graphite. Talgas process to produce Talnode-C is geared to this specific natural resource with this specific origin and properties. Thats why they cant accept some rando graphite from a different mine. But it also means that Talgas natural graphite has similar and in case of cold performance even superior properties to synthetic graphite. The fact that they refine it to get a complete active anode material is icing on the cake. Does Novonix produce and sell synthetic graphite or anode? I think only graphite. Big difference.

Talgas advertised pricing is also not set by Talga it self, but by Benchmark Minerals, not by Talga. Your assumption that natural graphite is always half the price of synthetic graphite is bullshit. Talgas natural graphite and their tailored process for coated anode is different than chinese natural graphite. The only problem with this all is, that we dont have performance numbers of Talnode-C. If you want to bark up any tree (and you constantly bark up one tree after the next), take this one instead.
