Tower's excess is $11,75m, at this point, and 'full year (2023) guidance remains unchanged' as they had allocated $30m for catastrophes for 23. It seems Tower have a good reinsurance program these days. It's one of my divi' stocks and I recommend a 'buy', but hopeless for volume.
An old mate of mine had shares in Lloyds, and any 'catastrophes' were funded with levies from shareholders. I'm not sure how they do it these days, but that was forty years ago, maybe longer.
