Wesfarmers recently acquired API and it is tipped that Chemist Warehouse are likely suitors to take control of Sigma. This will have enormous implications in the warehousing/wholesale distribution space and are yet to play out. I discount any chance of Fred IT/Telstra Health getting involved in this area apart from their current role in software as a Service to pharmacies. The change to supply of two month quantities of common medicines also will cause an immediate reduction in the number of dispensing fees charged and significant reduction in pharmacy income. Some smaller pharmacies may become unviable and close. So how this will affect Corum and PharmX could be interesting but I believe it is essential for them to diversify outside of the pharmacy space which is already and becoming even more constricted by government regulation and control by the groups.
